SO I JUST GOT A NEW LAPTOP

WHAT ARE THE BEST GAMES TO PLAY ON INTEGRATED GRAPHICS
>>
>>318792334
post full specs, faggot.
there's a huge difference between some 6yo integrated mess and the latest Intel HD Graphics 6000 series, which could play ANY fucking game out there.

I got a Packard Bell with i3 @ 2.1Ghz, 6GB DDR3 and HD 3000, and it runs STALKER games + mods at 768p, DX8, high settings, at ~80fps average with V-sync off.

i5 5200U
4GB RAM
HD Graphics 5500

Not the best, but it was never meant to be a gaming laptop

you're pretty much set for any game that does not require over 4GB RAM. You should really up that to 8 minimum, ASAP, since the integrated GPU uses RAM as its VRAM.

but like said, STALKER games should run just fine. At very least on the DX8 mode if nothing else helps.

Same thing with just about anything released before 2006, and all the emulators up to N64/GBA era.

my laptop is HD 4000 and I can basically play any 2D game, any 3D game on normal settings before like 2007, some lower intensive games like Dota, and modern games if you butcher the FUCK out of the graphics and resolution

Here's some good ol' Netbook friendly titles. Your specs far exceed the requirements for these.

Add the Silent Hill 2 and 3's PC ports to that too. They tend to work even better on modern integrated graphics cards, than on the new and fancy dedicated ones.

This. I've seen people play Crysis 3 at 720p/Low, at ~25-30fps, on laptops with i7 + HD4000.
>>
Star Wars Battlefront II
Crusader Kings II
The Sims 4
Kotor & Kotor II
WoW
Diablo III

Ive been playing all of these with my HD4000 comfortably

Yeah, been doing some research and I am honestly surprised how much mileage I can get out of this thing.

I don't think I will bother upgrading, I already have a monster desktop. I still play lots of isometric games, indies, very low spec and aged games on it - I will just start doing more of it on this laptop.

My previous laptop was a Thinkpad X60s hehe, so its quite the upgrade. Have beaten DCSS about than 18 times on the thing

Oldie goodies, will check them out

CKII

You have a SSD don't you.

I can tell

4GB stick of DDR3 SO-DIMM is like 20 bucks tops. Assuming the machine has two slots for RAM (most do), there's very little reason not to upgrade it. It'd offer significant performance boost in daily use alone, especially if you multitask.

My buddy has an older desktop with just 4GB, and his system seriously slows down if he tries to keep more than two programs open at once.

Alright, will keep this in mind if things slow down.

Still, considering I have been using a 10yo old laptop with 2GB of RAM for more than two years and have no complaints I think I will be fine at least for a while.

Intel's CPUs are the only good ones on the market, and HD graphics are surprisingly great these day too. Plus OP has an Asus laptop, which is a good sign.

what games can i play on a surface pro 3

i bring it to school a lot so i wonder if there's anything fun to play on it
>>
>>318796360
Anything pre-2007.
STALKER might just about run on it with DX8 settings. Source-titles are absolute certainly going to run fine with one or two settings lowered.
