Darius has a grand deal less voice acting than the legend of heroes EVO games, so I'm sure the amount of VA you have to license out for when it's probably all of like 2 people compared to two or three dozen makes a big diffrence in the deal being drawn up.
Also the music for Darius is by a band Taito has good ties with, so while it's not actually known but it's probable that degica could have had taito help out with the deal since darius is their baby and could have gotten the soundtrack to remain for minimal costs.

Yeah but lloyd/elie is so pure. Plus there was more buildup from zero. Family is a somewhat important motif and I view lloyd, elie and kea in a similar fashion to estelle, joshua and renne.
