It's an RPG. You move on a map with and get random battles while moving to your destination, or fixes ones.
In battle you've got your four characters against the enemies and input what action you want them to do, then when everything is set everyone will attack. Each action consumes Action Points which get restored every turn.

I don't know but apparently the servers shut down anyway.
There's still a story mode, you can choose between three factions at the beginning and (for now) have to train your units by making them fight outisde and completing quests or train inside the castle.
