The puzzle part of the gameplay is actually really fun and addictive. I finished getting the 10 date Alpha Mode achievement yesterday.
Kinda makes me wish they'd make a sequel with a more robust puzzle mode, and less recycled dialogue. As far as the characters go, some of them are great. Aiko and Kyu are sex. Venus is good too. The actual dating sim elements are really shallow, though, and the fact that none of the characters interact with each other after the introduction is kinda lame.
All in all, I went in expecting 2D whores and ended up sticking around for the puzzling.

OP here. Yeah, I really wish there was more original dialogue, and more interaction between the girls. Maybe bonus puzzles that you have to do to keep them from figuring out that you're playing all of them at the same time.

Been ages since I've played a Bejeweled game since there are more fun tile matching games, but HuniePop is unique in that it has a passion meter and items which can affect your score and the playfield. A lot of tile matching games also run on timers, while HuniePop has a turn system instead. You start each round with 20 turns, but you can increase your turn count by matching the crown tiles and there are also items which will help too.
It's also worth noting that each girl has a favorite and least favorite tile, so that plays a small part in scoring. You have to know which girls like what "traits" and you can change your item loadout to help with scoring.

HOWEVER, I wanted more interaction and development between the girls, as of current they only have brief interactions that serve to unlock the next one for play. As such development would take place other minigames could come forth.
