I don't mind that it doesn't work with most Wii U games but I really don't get why it's so hard to make it compatible with the wii mode on the wii u so you can actually use it for games that use the GC controller. That and some specific games that are ports of GC games (namely wind waker HD and twilight princess HD)

I don't know either, but I think the Wii just doesn't support controllers over USB. I find it weird that there's no update to enable something like that, but hey, they cannot even make the gamepad work with Wii games.
Fortunatelly Nintendon't is based as fuck, but yeah, it kinda sucks that I can play Smash 4 and Melee with every controller, but have to buy a Wiimote+extra to play Project M and Brawl.

Because Wii VC games are not the same. Games on the virtual console are updated to work with different controllers. It's like an altered ISO. The Wii OS itself should get an update that makes it so that it recognizes USB controllers.
Also, please tell me which emulator works with USB controllers, because none of mine do.
