Project: Snowblind have MC death at the very beginning, followed by some sort of "resurrection" and upgrade with various augmentations.
Funfact: at the early stage of development, game was called "Deux Ex: Clan Wars" before the title was dropped, as the game was becoming more of FPS than RPG/FPS combination (plus, fans used to react negatively).
Not strictly MC, but in Shadows: Heretic Kingdoms, as a demon, you utilize souls of dead heroes, being able to switch between them at will.
