Yume Nikki thread
Why is Madotsuki so sad? How could we cheer her up?
give her a smile

the drugs must be kicking in
Keep posting Mado!

because her only solace from her vacuous and pointless existence is sleep

Just like mine

Well, It's possible
>>318731856
>you will never be Madotsuki's friend
>you will never talk her down from that ledge
i've considered playing this but never got around to it
how good is it? got a brief (spoiler free) summary?
>Cold outside
>Want a Mado sweater
>No one sells one that actually looks like it
>Kikiyama just cut contact and moved on from gaming
I have a feeling the game really is done and he intended no further updates. Maybe YN was the only game he intended to make.
Any 2kki players in this thread?
It's insanely expansive and goes way deeper than the first one.

Anyone here try lucid dreaming? It never works for me.
showing some of my n64 games with a cute bead sprite of Mado
>>318734102
I get it a couple times a week but I usually end up getting the shit spooked out of me after I realize I'm dreaming and my surroundings start getting fucked up
>>318733754
Hikkikomori girl has fucked up dreams. You walk around in your dreams collecting stuff.
That's pretty much it. The atmosphere of the game is what makes it though, so either you'll get bored quickly and stop or you'll be hooked.
>>318734102
It happened to me once, just once, but it was the best thing I've ever experienced becauseI almost got to fuck Mitsuru from Persona 3.
Woke up right before it happened and I haven't been able to reproduce it ever again.
Oh, and it also happened a couple of times when I was kid, but that was about more childish things, like being a dragon and flying around and such. It was pretty great.
I did a few times.
Once I realized that I was lucid when a computer didn't work properly. Shortly after it changed into a nightmare where I was breaking apart as if I was made of chocolate.
Another time, I was highly obsessed with WoW multiboxing and I dreamt that I was playing. Turned lucid when I couldn't multibox properly. I looked away from my monitor and it was all weird and shit. Thought to myself 'Damn, I'm asleep I can't play WoW. So what am I going to do for the next 4-6 hours? Guess I'll play WoW. Oh wait.'
>YN thread pops up right before I go to sleep
Hope I'll be able to dream tonight. We've been having a lot of YN threads lately and I love it.
GUYS IF YOU'RE DREAMING NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO, DON'T LOOK INTO A MIRROR
IT WILL FUCK UP YOUR LIFE FOREVER, REPEAT AFTER ME, NEVER LOOK INTO A MIRROR WHILE DREAMING
>>318734928
Good night my man, I think perhaps you'll have a fairly interesting dream, just tell yourself to think about when you wake up..
>>318735545
What could possibly go wrong?
>>318735545
What's your experience with it?
I've actually been fine looking into mirrors, myself. I haven't done it a lot though.
>>318733968
2kki is amazing and so expansive it never really ends
>>318736034
>>318733968
Yeah, I enjoy it quite a lot, though for now I'm going to wait a while and let the updates accumulate (seems to be going slower though)
before I play again. Since there's so much stuff it can take super long to find the new stuff among the huge amount of stuff I've already explored...
>>318734143
>Sin and Punishment
Good taste.
Haven't heard of Hybrid Heaven before. Any good?
I miss the days when I could get baked as fuck, play YN, and feel magical.
>>318734102
I truly believe Lucid dreaming is simply unobtainable by some people. I've tried for half a decade, tried tons of things even "shortcut" supplements. Never even come close.
After 5 years I just gave up.
>>318735946
It's a lucid dreaming maymay. The equivilant of the "donut eating man" virus, but for dreaming.
Looking at a mirror in a dream will often just reveal a distorted mess because your mind doesn't bother with those fine details. This can flip some people out and make things go bad, but that's all.
>>318737716
there's no reason it's not attainable for anyone. what were you trying to do specifically?
>>318737843
>implying araki doesn't drain a bit of your lifeforce every time you open it
>>318738580
>there's no reason it's not attainable for anyone.
Sure there would be. It's connected to sleep and the brain, not everyones brain and sleep patterrns are identical. You know there are people on Earth who can't reach orgasm? Or walk?
And I've done everything. Every single step ever described on ANY lucid dreaming site. All the way up to Binaural audio, hypnotism, and supplemental herbs like caliea

>>318739148
well sure people with disabilities are like that, but lucid dreaming is basically sort of about mindfulness. to simplify that idea, it's just being able to notice things, and be more "conscious" at all times than normal. this is simple to explain in that way but not easy to obtain. in the case of people who don't realize exactly the way it feels, i could see it basically being up to luck...
but unless you have some exceptional mental problem i don't see why you wouldn't be able to do it. do you remember and write down your dreams at least?
>>318739767
Having crippling sleep disorders likely does not positively impact any state induced via dreaming.
>>318732171
looks like she just got done pleasuring herself
>>318739814
yeah, so you have a really bad sleep disorder then?
>>318740019
I don't sleep well. Never have. It takes, on average, 3 hours to fall asleep and I have never had a normal or stable sleep pattern.
>>318740390
christ my man, that blows. 3 hours average...
still though, do you remember your dreams and do you write them down?
>>318740484
Not anymore. I did, but as I have stated I don't anymore as it seemed a waste of time after a while. The fact I do not have a regular sleep schedule/pattern is likely the reason I cannot, but no doctor seems to want to be assed in attempting to fix that.
>>318741069
well if you're at least remembering your dreams then your sleep troubles still shouldn't make you totally unable to lucid dream
why didn't you mention you have such huge trouble sleeping in your original post? it seems like that's a higher order problem being an impedance to lucid dreaming, and not just that it's "simply unobtainable" for you..
fix your sleep first and foremost. there are a lot of possible causes, and a doctor won't necessarily be able to help so easily or will be reluctant to give you sleeping pills and shit. what could be causing you to take so long to get to sleep?
>>318736437
yes its a Wresting RPG against aliens.
>>318741691
I've had this problem for years. Probably 20-25 years now. The US still has absolutely no medical care for the poor so I can't get help. The one doctor I even can see refuses to give me sleeping medication (or do anything for the problem) but likes to bitch about other health problems I have when they're all tied to the point I cannot sleep.
