To play Smash Bros with a GC controller adapter will cost you about $370-$400. And that doesn't include DLC characters or DLC in general.... so yeah. The Wii U has been nothing but a Smash Bros DLC machine. It's the reason I don't bother getting one. The NX will probably get another Smash game yet again so there's no point in spending money now. Smash 4 is boring anyway after you realize it's just the same shit with almost every character over and over. Not worth the money or time, but that's just me.

Was talking to a relative over Thanksgiving about consoles and such, he owns a PS4 and says he probably won't buy the Wii U any time soon if at all solely because of the game prices. Dude's only paid $60 for like four games ever since the PS3 came out since he's a patient man, but the fact that more or less every single Wii U game that hasn't straight up bombed is still sitting at $60 years after is ridiculous. The same applies for 3DS and even first party DS games sitting at $40 even nowadays.
