Horde mode was good. Sawed off was fucking bullshit. I literally only played GoW3 for Gnahser weekends. The best GoW experience I had was when they got dedicated servers in GoW2.
3rd person shooters were always mediocre at best, which is exactly what GoW is/was.

while vanquish was fun, i found the boss battles a bit underwhelming. mp1 and mp2 was tha bomb but bullet-time (while being satisfying af, placing headshots akimbo style mid-air) made tricky parts too easy. also no enemy variety. only regular thugs with guns. gow is intended to play on the hardest difficulty with a bro. the ki supports this kind of playstyle. the game throws lots of enemies at you. i dont remember the names of the species but there were small monkey like enemys running up in groups on the player, forcing you to switch places, switch weapons to keep em off of you, and try not to get bombed by the exploding ones. gow wasnt that static as you try to make it look like. enemies try to surround you, throw stim-gas grenades to force you out of your cover.. shit got hektik on a regular basis. dont know mang, but gow did alot right and i had a shit-ton of fun playing them.
