The economic and sociological systems that enslave you rely a great deal on your mortal form. If you don't play into the system, you don't make money. If you don't make money, you don't eat, sleep, secure shelter or other things that you absolutely 100% need to do. There is also the now-constant fear of terrorism, shootings, illness and other afflictions only applicable to flesh and bone bodies. The people who control the banks, the government, the media and the military all count on these basic core needs to ensure all people, regardless of their individual qualities, MUST play their game in order to exist. And as the world becomes more homogenized, there is quickly becoming no alternative means of remaining alive.
That's why transhumanism is the future. When you remove the need for food or sleep, you transcend many of the staple rules your masters have relied upon. The only thing left to do is figure out how to do this, and how to do it without surrendering your liberties to those who would use your new power for their own gain.

Until we can discover a way to fully replace the human brain you will need sleep. Sleep allows the brain to shut down certain parts and pretty much perform clean up on itself. Staying awake for too long causes sever mental issues the physical toll not withstanding
Next we have the body itself. It's a machine and while normal problems like obesity, cancer, disease etc...may no longer be a issue you body still needs upkeep and maitanence. And let's not even talk about getting injured (or damaged as the case may be)
Now we can talk about quality. Much like everything else in the world there are good versions that cost more and cheap versions that cost less. Having a good body bow has less to do with individual determination and more to do with how deep your wallet is.
The point is by doing this you are only trading one set of demons for another. Those rich men you hate/envy so much? They will always be there and always be in control all that will change is the logo on their cards.
