I do love cute, but I don't find baby talk all that cute. I just wish the anime had gone the same way as the various manga did and had Kirby speak. It's a shame that almost everyone sees Kirby as the anime baby version these days.
Is Amazing Mirror worth playing by myself or do I need friends to really enjoy it? I've been trying to play all of the games since that /v/ poll showed up.

I agree about the baby talk and baby Kirby but I don't really think Kirby should talk. I should say I haven't read any of the manga (aside from this gem if it counts) but i don't think the prospect of talking Kirby works outside of a comedic context, seems jarring to have this mostly silent character who hasn't been shown to monologue or verbally express themselves at all to suddenly start doing so. Then again the anime went with its own canon so it could've done it, but the dynamic would've changed and I feel one could just as easily keep him silent but not make him a baby. And depending on how they characterize a talking Kirby i think I'd rather baby talk than a cringey talking anime kirby being the norm and creeping into games.

My fucking problem with the anime is that more than half the episodes don't even focus on Kirby, but rather the OC donut steels like Tiff, Tuff and their ilk.
Also, Kirby and Meta Knight should have had more interactions. Dedede got enough screen time with his shenanigans.

Go for it, the game works perfectly fine alone and you get to explore all of the game yourself. The AI is stupid as shit but you only need them for a few obstacles and they'll cut the bullshit and help you for those, and they also become a food/1up supply as they always find shit and give it to you when summoned.

The game is fun when you play it alone, but I still advise you to set up a Net-Play server and play it with some friends. The game is so much more fun with friends it is not even funny.

That's probably why I haven't put time into going back to watch it all, I don't feel like its a Kirby anime, its some annoying and dumb fucks and their bullshit with kirby on the side being useless until he needs to wrap up the monster of the week. Dedede shenanigans are probably the only thing worth watching and even then they shoved an OC in that as well.

Haven't played Squeak Squad since it came out, but from what I remember it was entertaining enough. Not as memorable as Nightmare. Super Star is definitely on the list!
