I tried to but no one picked up on it, the general died as well, game is pretty fun but the grind is brutal. Thought i could craft both weapons and armor for myself but most items are so cheap and it takes so long to level crafting if you spread yourself thin.

That's why you need to specialise. You can't do everything. You can do a few things and be really good at them, or do a lot of things and be mediocre at them.
You need a guild with people who have different professions.
It's kinda like EVE.
