picked this up for $10, figured it was worth the money if for nothing else but the ps4 case. after all the patches, is this even worth playing? i played and enjoyed (barring the first game) up to 3, but i couldn't finish 3, and i own but haven't opened black flag..

Open it and play it, it's a fantastic game. Much better than Unity for sure.
It's definitely one of the top 2 AC games with AC2.

yeah, i've heard black flag is great, but is it a good idea to play it before unity? if it's as good as everyone says, i feel like unity might just be a huge fuckin' letdown afterwards

Its pretty good. Assassination missions are great.
Unity is OK.
Black Flag is much better though.
Arno's a bit of a wimp while Edward's a boss.
It's just like any other AC past the American Indian one.
