Sorry for taking a whole thread up for a question, but I can't find anywhere else to ask.
I'm just curious what you guys know about ripping models from Wii U games?
Specifically, splatoon.
3d animation/VR shit is a hobby of mine and I'm trying to get my hands on a couple of models, but can't find much.
From what I've read, even a dump of a Wii U bluray disk would be useless as the things are encrypted to shit. That was January and I can't find much since, other than that someone had managed to crack some games.
I've found a couple sites like pic related that almost look like they're from the game but I can't tell, they could just be accurate recreations (or inaccurate, like most of the shit I'm finding)
Any help would be appreciated, but I'm guessing this thread will be dead after two bumps.
Models Resource is legit. Go check on their forums because they probably have something to follow on it for this kind of thing.

I'd also like to add that even if you do somehow get models from a game, you're not going to get any UV or skeleton data. It also won't look as good as it does on the actual hardware, as the only thing making Wii U games look nice is the ungodly amounts of shaders they put things through.

I guess it really has been a long time since I've visited /g/. I remember decrypting some diablo 2 shit a long time ago with their help.
I can assure you that we've fallen much farther. The past few hours have seen a LOT of mod attention and the implementation of a few wordfilters, so this is the best shape I've seen /v/ in a long time. I have a record low of 13 threads getting caught by my personal filters, usually it's about half the board.
