My problem with Senran Kagura 2 was that it didn't feel fun. Most character enemies don't even flinch when you land a attack unless it's a back attack. Then they break your combo midway and combo you. Of course each character has ways around it but it just didn't feel like a fun hack and slash anymore.
Tho you can always just go frantic mode and easily wipe the floor with all enemies regardless of level... so that makes it kinda dull. In fact they extremely encourage you do that for the last boss or it's almost impossible to win if you didn't grind for levels on your way there.
