Nips can't into faces in 2-d art, unless there is something unattractive about them. Consider how samey asian idols look, the washed out, generic "ideal beauty".
Anything involving 2-d art is the same in Nipland. That's why they have these strange hair colors/styles, to differentiate their characters. It's also why you get a lot of people referring to them by their archetype or their hair color. There's no real way to identify them other than that.
And since a lot of Japanese settings are generic academy ones, you can't differentiate the characters with their clothes either.

This. I think most nips like manga/anime. Decide to teach themselves or with some crappy online guides how to shit out a generic anime girl, then maybe put their own twist on it, and start producing their stuff. Sure they can first attempt to draw different faces with different bodytypes and bodies just differencitate in boob size. But hey, your generic samey art is good enough, heck it even makes it better because fanart is easily produced.
