His name is Asher. He saw his wife killed in the vault, and assumed the same for his son. Even so, all that kept him going was the drive that maybe he had possibly survived. After stumbling upon the Minutemen in Concord, he began assisting them, hoping to find some way of possibly learning about a missing boy and in a sense, finding more meaning in his own life.
Unfortunately, this was not to be as he eventually found the Minutemen to be lazy and unworthy of saving if they would not even go through some effort to save themselves. He became jaded, until learning of the Institute.
Long story short, he searched for and found the Institute, thus finding his aged, dying son. At first, he found relief from the bitter man that the wasteland had made him, but now, after the death of his only just re-discovered son, he has grown only more the tired and cold.
tl;dr, the wasteland changes a man. War, war never changes.

even the backstory introduced by the dlcs is very vague, which allows your character to slip right in.
fallout 4 forces you to be a grieving mother or father searching for the murderers of his wife and his child.

Guys i got some technical issues with the game
I can play it fine but at around 10-15 fps low
Currently dont have a decent computer
After some troubleshooting i managed to run the game without crashing
The whole intro part is fine, even during the nuclear detonation it doest crash , surprisingly
But when im at the vault and they are closing my "decontamination" pod, it just freezes for a sec then crashes tl desktop
Anybody else got this and fixed it?
I hear a lot of people with far higher end pcs than me complaining about crashes so i dont think its that
