You can't get past Hangar 18, it's your typical endgame sawtooth. Once you're in, you're not getting out. Unlike most areas of the game, it's impossible to break these walls (they even drop a hint and tell you that the steel is much too strong). If you don't have all the plot essential items before entering, you better hope you have an older save lying around.

I don't think it's like "Miles" Better but they definitely carry an extra layer. Galneryus is definitely one of my favorite japanese power metal bands, although their engrish lyrics are sometimes silly, the music alone is enough to forgive them.
That classical-like solo in angel of salvation is bananas, the fact that they threw violins in makes it stupidly good. To add on the power metal in japan, I think it's also because they have a keyboardist with them most of the time. You can throw in a lot of stuff that magically clicks perfectly with metal.
I feel like metal is very flexible, just because people close their mind that it's all "inarticulate yelling and hard drum bangs" doesn't mean everyone has to the general idea.
