DaS 1 or 2? Either way it'd be to try and max your STR and equipment load. Gret fireball pyromancy for the cannon arm and avelyn for his crossbow in your left hand. If it's DaS2 then the freatsword or crypt blacksword are both pretty good imitations of dragonslayer.

Armor is a mix among the Knight sets. It doesn't hugely matter. I just went with the general look. The main deal is using a greatsword with no shield.
Blackswordsman, would just be the above with darker armor, no helmet, and a bigger sword.

I did a guts build for my second playthrough of DaS1, it was a lot of fun. I normally don't play games that way so it was a new experience. Having no shield and very little poise made things difficult though, fuck bed of chaos

I like the idea of the puzzley bosses like bed of chaos and dragon god, but they're always so poorly implemented that they end up being tedious and unfun
So apperently a few issues came out since I last read, which is the one where (real spoilers)guts defeats that sea god, but makes the mistake of getting back on the boat
