Rainy day, super wet pavement.
Literally actually factually about a yard away from a crosswalk, going 35 MPH, and the light turns yellow.

Do not rely on acceleration too much. You are not racing a car. You don't huge bursts of acceleration in street driving.
Also use the brake to your advantage by easing into corners gracefully. Also keep your eyes on a swivel and occasionally check especially on corners, intersections and changing lanes.
It's not too hard. Just get used to the flow of street driving. And don't use the burst of speed recklessly. Only speed up when you need to.

You should try getting a motorcycle instead, I don't know how you go about getting a license or whatever for them in your country, but it is easy as fuck here in Australia. Having my learners for a motorcycle has been much more enjoyable than when I had a learners car license before that expired due to me not being able to get my hours up.

Aus driving tester are massive bastards.
They dock you for everything from not constantly moving your head around even though you are looking in the mirrors.
They dock you for not doing a head check everytime you go around a corner since there could be a bike that appears from the ether.
They also dock you if you make a turn onto a road with no lines and go into the middle of the road since you have to apparently stay near the gutter and then indicate to move into the imaginary other lane even though there are no cars around and there are no lines.

On a hill manual cars roll back so you have to put on the handbrake, put the car in 1st and prepare to start up while dropping the handbrake.
Basically you brain has to tell your arm to undo the handbrake and drop it, raise the clutch and press down on the gas all at the same time.

The reason passing the test in scandinavia is hard is because there is a quite extreme focus on defensive driving. Your driving speed should always reflect the conditions. In rain, snow, cold, or near crowds you should always slow down, and if you drive 20km/h too slow in those areas, they would only see it as positive.
