I'm currently playing NV for the first time
I was siding with house because to me he's the one with the most legitimate motivations and without him new vegas wouldn't even exist, while the last time i helped out the NCR (in primm) the people of primm showed themselves as being very unhappy with how the NCR handled things
i have no interest in siding with the legion at least in this playthrough
but then again house isn't only patronizing for me and using me as a mercenary of sorts but he also wants me to wipe out the BoS and they're my favourite faction so far and i'm so conflicted

New Vegas has really solid unarmed gameplay, actually. There are 11 vanilla unarmed weapons (brass knuckles to shotgun gloves) + fists, with a variety of perks and quests that grant special unarmed attacks. As you level unarmed, you can do uppercuts and crosses and shit. If you have GRA, you can get insane shit like Two-Step-Goodbye and the Embrace of the Mantis King. It's got a lot of character and ingenuity despite the engine limitations.

While NV is the superior game, I always avoid the Courier storyline and just explore / do the DLC instead.
As soon as I exit Doc Mitchel's, I'm off to explore. I never do anything else. I barely even do quests.
Minute men are probably the best designed post apocalyptic faction in the fallout series by far. Not even FO NV had the build back civilization faction. Its actually done really well.

It also looks rad as fuck, with the filament counter and all. Silencer is fucking ridiculous though.
It still seems to have that same bug as it did in FO3 however where it does no damage sometimes, and seems to just harmlessly pass through enemies.
Haven't played with one since the beta patch though.
