I have ~65 hours on steam, havent played anything else since it came out. Will probably play BB tonight since new dlc tomorrow, but after that 20 hours, I'll probably go right back.
Funny thing is, I hated playing CODs since MW2. Even avoided the first two BLOPS, but wallrunning, map design, and weapon choices have sucked me in.

I want the all gold one that is classified after unlocking all them , but apparently you have to get all unlocks for all specialists before the gold ones can be unlocked. I can't even play it on mine. Ever since the update, when I start up the game I get 60 fps and then slowly start dropping frames until I get to around 15 or so and then it crashes my entire computer. God-tier campaign and PC supports multi-monitor coop. Levels are open, you can actually see enemy killzones on the floors (avoiding BS deaths) and you level up with new kits and skills. This is ontop of Zombies, Dead Ops Arcade 2 and the Horde mode. NewGame+ for the campaign was a amazing treat and the WW2 level was fucking crazy.
We lost the multiple endings from BO2 in the process though.
Multiplayer is garbage and the optimization is shit. Specialists are cool but clearly break the flow of the games and the maps are not designed for the jump boosts at all with all the invisible walls. PC also has no offline zombies/multiplayer for no reason.
Zombies are okay. Fantastic setting but we clearly needed more maps and content.
Its a kind of weird Call of Duty release. It has some great things that puts it above every other CoD but it also dropped the ball in others. Treyarch was trying to do too much in 3 years for a franchise thats being treated like a cash cow.

The latency issues from Black Ops 2 are back (on console). You know, shoot first, die first. It's not quite as bad as Black Ops 2 but definitely noticeable and incredibly frustrating.
Spawns are absolutely god awful. Pic related is me showing up twice in the killfeed, and tac-inserts do not exist in this game. In pic related I died twice to the same guy in about 5 seconds.
Maps seem to be very mediocre and I just don't understand how to do well at them. I'm not that great at the game, but every map seems like a simple 3-lane setup up with the middle lane being basically impossible to travel through because it's always a clusterfuck. Almost every map is like this.
Anyone else have the same problems?
Worst CoD MP I've played in years. Entire game is typical Treyarch 3 lane maps with zero flank routes and shitty hit detection.
All the guns are hideous to look at and theyre boring as fuck to use. Most specialist weapons are all free kill bullshit all for the sake of muh esports hype. Abilites/weapons being locked behind specific specialists. Want to use the war machine? Lol too bad you have to play as a turbo dyke. Want to use active camo? Lol too bad you have to play as generic secret agent man who whispers. Why the fuck can't I just be a robot all the time?
And again, these weapons look like overdesigned shit that a 13 year old would think looks cool.
And fuck all of you, Ghosts was great.

Zombies is pretty fun. Campaign is good, halfway through but it's annoying how it's not as connected to BO 1&2 as much as I hoped. Multiplayer is alright, best since Black Ops, but all call of duty multiplayers lately have been too much, too much crazy stuff, like perks, wildcards, killstreaks, weapon attachments, etc. Black Ops 1 was the last tame one

i7 4790k and GTX 980 Ti with 8GB of RAM run the game like shit.
All performance issues were fixed when they added other 8GB of RAM.

This is pretty much one of the best-designed campaigns we got in a long time. The levels allows you to fuck around, the enemies actually possess a threat on Veteran, you can play with a friend and the set pieces are pretty good. You're constantly encouraged to use your skills to counter certain enemy types and play your role. Its some pretty good shit and I'd be hard-pressed to find a better FPS campaign then what we got.

If the servers weren't shit on last gen, it would be fine.
It's fun although it has some crazy bugs that still need to get patched, like some people having no sound.
I'm not even one of the people who "only liked COD when it was cool" or "only liked ____ x number of years ago"
I have never in my life liked Call of Duty because the movement was so fucking slugish, the guns so generic, the graphics so dull, but I love Black Ops 3 and only about five days I have clocked thirty six hours. Basically everything I hated about cod before is fixed.
The weapons are fun to shoot and interesting to merely look at, the movement is delightfully fast, everyone sprints all the time with a cool jump, and the graphics are ridiculously vibrant and pretty. After realizing I wasn't even enjoying playing Counter Strike for years and spent most of my time being mad at it im having such a great time just running around like a retard in Chaos Moshpit shooting everything that moves and getting insentivizing rewards. One thing In noticed is game modes like TDM and Domination are boring as shit because the only way to do good is to sit in one corner.
I love it a lot, thats just because it caters to me. Obviously people itt dont like it as much as I do. People I muted on day one for being annoyed I have encountered many times over (they're the only people I muted) so on PC at least the player base is tiny.

Also I should add because I forgot to say it I have 8gb of RAM and the game uses absolutely all of it. I have to close my web browser and anything else before I start the game and thats annoying as hell. But there absolutely have been patches. I pirated it on launch to see how it ran and the campeign was unplayably bad with stuttering every god damn second whereas now its playable so long as the textures are on high rather than extra. But when it runs, it keeps 60fps

MP is just mindless arcade fun, and the movement adds a LITTLE depth to the gameplay, even though it is the same shit COD has spawned for years. Specialists are fun to dick around. The maps aren't that good honestly, they don't take full advantage of the new movement.
Zombies is better than ever. It's twice as hard now.
Campaing is just the same old shit, but with 4 player co-op and that's is.

The story in BO3 is fine. It's not really a Black Ops game, because there's no Mason, but it's still a nice self contained story. It's also on a MUCH smaller scale than the other two games, despite what the game itself wants you to believe.
It's also subtle. Not deep, but subtle. 99% of people neither saw the twist in this game coming, nor did they understand it after the game was over, unlike the Reznov is dead twist from BO1.

Call me a casual but I'm convinced aim assist is broken (ps4). Shotguns are such ass its so frustrating. You track through walls (which is hilarious on nuketowns paper thin walls). Once my characters view even flew straight down into the ground, which screwed me in the firefight

Aim assist does seem really strong in this one. My turning speed is constantly fucked because of aim assist tugging on enemies I can't even see.
Definitely agree with you on the shotguns, I got them diamond and it was fucking agonizing. The only one worth a shit is the Argus.

It has solid graphics at 60fps, gameplay is smooth and is packed with content on release. Haven't played a cod since Blops 2, so I'm not really feeling the fatigue. I wish Fallout or Battlefront was on this level.

I tried advanced warfare and couldn't get into it with how much shit kept appearing all over the screen, and that was the first CoD i'd played since modern warfare 2, but i'm tempted to get black ops 3 as it looks pretty fun.

It's free, but only one map is free. The second map available right now is only with the delux edition, and all future zombie maps will be dlc
