This is the entirety of the game from start to finish:
Enter very poorly randomly generated dungeon that consists of square rooms of varying sizes and hallways that connect them. Find the stairs to the next floor, repeat. Sometimes you'll appear right next to the stairs. Sometimes you'll even run into an enemy, which will die in one or two hits.
That is the entire game. Somehow the Mystery Dungeon franchise has been going since 1993 and I cannot comprehend how it managed to do so.

I got Totodile and Torchic, and I've been seeing everyone say totodile is shit tier, but let me tell you about TORCHIC.
This piece of shit is a glass cannon without the cannon. Fire and grass moves are a threat to this thing, and god help me if it takes an attack for me. The starting moveset is GARBAGE, with low kick dealing an average of 9 damage to all these light ass starting game mons, and ember being a better choice than quick attack on water types since it's so ungodly weak.
I should have used my Sky team of Chimchar and Piplup.

Pros:
Quiz is back but you aren't locked into choosing that one character as you can choose your own afterwards.
Hunger is back as well so if you liked that from past games then it adds some slight challenge.
You can choose multiple jobs again and complete multiple quests in a dungeon rather than being stuck with only choosing one.
Music is the best its ever been in a PMD game, absolutely flawless soundtrack and the jukebox makes a return but you don't have to wait to unlock it like before, you can use it right from the start and make a playlist in it from the songs in the game you unlock and listen to that with the 3DS closed.
Text is a lot faster as you can hold B to skip as much dialogue and text as you want.
Lots of references to past games and a ton of locations to explore which are all put together really well.
Story is on the same level of enjoyability as sky though I haven't finished the game yet so I can't say how good it really gets.
All 720 pokemon can be found and played once you get them and you don't have to wait until the endgame to switch party leader.
Probably the best use of the 3D on the system I have seen yet and I absolutely recommend you play with it on.
Cons:
Like 2-5 hours of exposition and story at the beginning that doesn't let you explore on your own and forces a story onto you that you can't deviate from at any time until its over and the game opens up.
Instead of recruiting pokemon by finding them in dungeons and battling them you can only unlock them by doing a mission for them or talking to them in the world.
Honestly can't really think of any other cons, they really did put as much love and work into this game as they could and I'm really loving it right now.

To critique one of the cons, the opening exposition stuff is actually pretty enjoyable. It's a lot thicker than the previous games, in terms of reading text, but it's nothing that makes you want to quit playing or skip past it. Only downsides I would give is I don't really care for the menu being on the bottom screen, and how you don't have as many options as the ds ones. Also the recruiting thing is kinda eh, I really prefer the old way of it, but it's nothing big. Basically my only complaints are that some things are different from the ds ones, but it's nothing gamebreaking.
