I love this game
8 Eyes is a pretty bomb NES game and I love how they mix things up with 2 players, with the 2nd player as a the Falcon.
Alternately, Mario 2, Mario 3, and Mega Man 2 were god tiers.

8 Eyes was fun. I did a playthrough about a year ago during an internet outage.
>cheesing bosses by hiding in a safe spot and painstakingly tapping them with the falcon until they go down
>having a cup of tea with the bosses after you beat them
>clearing all the levels without collecting the scrolls only to realize you need them for the puzzle at the end

I didn't even do the weakness>kill them faster trick. I just pick a random castle and hope for the best and if that was not the case, I would sacrifice my falcon first, use icebomb, and hit the boss with the sword and hope he or she doesn't did. I also LOVE the soundtrack and though it was the best thing I heard from the NES.
The puzzle part threw me off and I had to replay and find all the scrolls and clues about the gem order. Good times.

man, the final boss woman was hard. Not many safe spaces on a few of those bosses.
Good game overall, the gameplay and 2-player coop was brilliant, truly deserved a sequel

I recall there is a hidden jar of potion that fill your hp up and you have to keep moving. It wasn't as hard as Italy aka the guy with the fucking panther. That panther is so bullshit.
Yeah, I had fun playing this game with my brother and that is how we beat our first play through.
Absolute favorite.
