Random scatter and arbitrary miss chance on lower difficulty basically made the game unplayable. You could empty an AK mag into a bandit's face and not kill him.

Killing floor 2 gives enemies more advanced/harder attack patterns, I've seen very few games where increasing the difficulty makes enemies anything other than a bullet sponge.

Lets recap what MGS2 on Extreme does:

- You can no longer shoot out the tarp or light during Olga boss fight
- More bombs to dispose of. 1 added to strut a, 1 added to strut e, and 2 added to strut d.
- Timers on Fatman boss fight are shorter. Bombs are more of a threat.
- Many more semtex controllers on the Shell 1-2 Connecting Bridge
- Snake won't help you snipe until the very last minute in twilight sniping scenario.
- More RAYs need to be destroyed. 20 in all.
- Tanker Guards added to the Decks, Engine Room, and Holds.
- Plant Guards and Cameras added to the struts, bridges, and cores.
- Rations are removed from every possible location, including shaking them off guards.

I think its Chitchat? Where you can negotiate the demon to talk to you instead of attacking. You can do this about 3 times before they get tired of it but in those 3 turns your team has already obliterated their health provided you know their weakness.

Which means I had 3 turns to find out its weakness and exploit it.

To be fair there are some demons that it just doesn't work on like the trial demon who just goes "Aren't you supposed to be completing this trial?" and just blows at your candle

Oh I loved SupCom AI. Holding on by the skin of my teeth for an hour, then suddenly the rape train stops because the AI simply gave up. Or the AI being utterly unable to estimate anything and constantly fucking its own economy. Or the AI attempting the same fruitless strategies over and over and over again while completely ignoring what I'm doing. It was one of the worst AIs I have ever seen. In was RA1 tier.

Reminds me of Doom's difficulty scaling. To me Ultra-violence is how the game was designed to be played with the perfect enemy types and placement on each level. Then every difficulty level under has enemies in sections reduced or replaced with easier ones. And Nightmare mode has constant and unlimited teleports of enemies and some invisible.

I hate when game devs think that giving enemies more HP makes the game harder. It just makes them bullet sponges. I had this problem in RAGE. At higher difficulty enemies soaked up more damage and dropped less ammo. Which meant that if I ran out of ammunition I had to punch my way out for the rest of the level. Which was usually the majority of the level. 20 minutes of punching enemies who take 8 hits to die.

Forged Alliance's AI was way better. Vanilla SupCom's AI was laughable.
I remember my very first FA game against an easy AI, the guy started using bombers. He never used them before.

Technically it's not an unlock, but if you beat the game without dieing, using any bombs while also having a score of over 120 million you will begin the "ura loop" which is a massively more difficult version of the game, and at the end you get to fight the true last boss.

Being able to get to the Ura Loop at all is already an insane accomplishment, let alone beating the true last boss. Few have ever made it that far even among the most hardcore and dedicated of fans

45 minutes here. I usually rely more on units than turrets. Except for air, my strategy always involves interceptor patrolling the no man's land to stop bombers.

Last time I tried turtling, the Adaptive AI (basically the best) ran into my turrets and got killed.

I hear there's a mod or something that improves the AI. Found that on some of the higher difficulties that they receive a spike of energy whenever it runs out or goes negative, probably does a bunch of other shit too.

It's sad just how shit the AI is at managing its economy. I've only noticed that it used bombers in the early game, and only on the small/medium maps as well.

Fucking C&C has better AI. At least it seems that way because I'm worse at it.

But so far, I'm learning with basic AI before trying the fancy mods. And frankly, that was disappointing. Better start installing these IA now.

The AI does better than me in early game, but midgame, I always catch up to it and totally dominate it endgame.
