The companions are one of the best parts of the game, honestly. I like them all and they all feel pretty unique (except Strong who is like every Super Mutant buddy ever, but it still works)

I never got the chance, because when I was in the vertibird, they looked like random enemy robots, so I blew the shit out of em all.
Eventually found it and explored it, realized it probably involved a quest helping them, considering there were a bunch of interaction items within and on top that I couldn't do anything with.

is anyone else surprised by the number of charisma checks? I thought removing skills and tying charisma into settlement meant that it would not be used much in dialogue, but its pretty useful
it helped some time after I did the quest for henry cooke, the one where you ambush a chem deal, then the father of the guy I killed shows up and accuses me of killing his son, apparently marowski the guy whose chem-lab I robbed tipped him off
I use a speech check to convince the father that it wasnt me who killed the son, and accuse the mafioso, the father then agrees to pay me 600 caps to kill the mafia head, which is great because I owe that bastard 2k caps and I'd rather not pay him
also please tell me marowski doesnt give any quests? killing him was a waste then
