The JP Direct had Monster Hunter X, including the showcasing of Starfox MonHun costumes.
The JP Direct featured real SMTIVF footage.
The JP Direct surprised with a new Culdcept game.
Tiny Thief, Year Walk, and Swords & Soldiers are also much better indie games than what were in the NA and EU directs. Q also looks neat little thing.
What's more, they went full out and announced a Monster Strike game for the 3DS. And now, before you all go crying "mobage kusoge!", the base gameplay of Monster Strike is actually surprisingly fulfilling, and does actually require you to think if you want to do well. So if they have managed to build a decent game around the battles this time around then Monster Strike actually has legit potential as a non-mobage game.
All of this in addition to what was shown in the NA and EU directs. The JP direct really was quite exciting.
