MGS V was probably my favorite game I played this year.
The first chapter was fantastic imo and by the time you get to the filler missions you are at chapter 2 which takes way more hours than another game; so if I am able to put like 40 hours into a game before it gets stale I am pretty content with that.

If by gameplay you mean how Snake controls then yeah, I agree. Because gameplay for real is just mediocre. You do the same fucking mission over and over and over with the rare exception. The vast majority of the missions is Extract/Eliminate thing/person. Every. Fucking. Time. Also that goddamn helicopter ride that takes forever, Motherbase that is a goddamn skeleton of what it was even promised to be, enemy variety is Skull, Soldier and Vehicles. Skulls are a real cool thing the game has, but the rest absolutely mediocre.
The lack of story, characters, boss battles and even a good Soundtrack makes it inconceivable for it to be on any GOAT list. It's just crazy.
Poops might still be the worst MGS, but damn TPP is trying to take that spot.

I don't understand this hate on Rocket League, it's pretty much the opposite of everything that /v/ hates about modern video games?
costs $20, devs constantly adding more free content, absolutely no grind apart from cosmetics, there's DLC but it's just $4 cosmetic bundles, good music, low entry barrier but very high skill ceiling, gameplay is fast paced and 100% based on physics rather than RNG and the level of your gear or some shit
my only criticism so far are the somewhat unreliable servers at times and graphical glitches caused by depth of field
