Bayonetta (1) is a masterpiece. God Hand is rough around the edges but great.

The combat system is a little shallow compared to most other action games, but the mechanics are fun to use, and the story is fun and over the top.
That being said, I played through it once to completion on hard mode which took like 10 hours, and havent touched it since

It's incredible.
One of the most fun videogames this gen i've ever played, and got me smiling all the way until the end.
The characters, bossfights, shit eating grins, gameplay and the god damn awesome OST justify it on a sale. Kinda short, though, but good replayability and lots of challenges and VR missions.
There's a reason why it gets posted every time here. Also it's, ironically, one of the best Metal Gear stories, because Kojima had little to do with it. Also very grim on the child themes.

The gameplay is kinda swallow, you can do some cool shit but its limited, and there's very little variety since you cant change your main weapon.
The soundtrack made my inner 15 year old headbang like a retard. The whole game is really corny (Like every metal gear game).
Its really short if you are not the kind of person who goes for 100% completio, but its still at least worth to check out. I think it has a demo, try it.
