sadly, currency rules our world. if you don't have any, you aren't even entitled to live. if you make a product for mass consumption, it costs money, even if you did a bad job you deserve compensation for the time you gave for the project. In a capitalist system, you "deserve" nothing. You are paid whatever the market is able and willing to pay you. Piracy is a part f the market, when consumers would rather risk legal punishment rather than pay you for your product.
