My greatest fear is that by the time the game hits though Capcom will fuck shit up modern Capcom hard. I just want a strong roster Bison/Birdie/R.Mika/Karin all seem somewhat complete. The only character i can imagine even needing slightly nerfs if any at all atm is Karin. Some characters need hitboxes fixed like Necalli having shitty ones. I'm happy Chun Li's cr mk finally got the foot part though.
As a Bison main he seems to keep getting better. His lk sk is like -3/-4 super deep but pretty much 0/-1 at every other distance and seems hard to make deep to the point where its unsafe. He just got the ability to special cancel his cr mk though which is awesome.

Bison has a similar gameplan but instead of being a quick low damage fucker like in SF4 hes like a walking tank now. The new dash also helps alot with mobility.
I personally see no problem in it
1. Hes got the same obnoxious pressure with more tools and variation lk sk being possible to get super deep and unsafe is acceptable because it seems super hard to do if it will be in the final version at all.
2. He actually has some fucking damage this time and simple confirms that flow into his pressure to get it
3. His dash/v-trigger DR are very good movement options
4. He has good AAs this time with super/sthk/crhp
5. His jump ins are slightly better.
A good Bison in SFV is going to be like a walking tank. Yeah he walks slowly but his dash is good and you can't just zone him out because of his v-skill/DR. It will take alittle getting used to but it will be a much more rewarding character this time around.
His buttons are also so much better atm. St mk seems better because its basically the same minus focus attacks to fuck with you. His AAs are solid and st hk is a god sent in terms of pressure. Also because of the white life damage on mediums/heavies cr mp lk sk/lp orb is a godlike replacement for cr lk lk sk.
I didn't get to play much in either beta but i've studied him immensely. It might be alittle annoying at first but his walk speed doesn't seem like a issue because hes a moving fortress and can't be zoned outright.

Honestly i don't think hes that slow. Yeah his walk speed is slow but his new forward dash is fucking godlike and his backdash isn't so bad. Because of ex orb projectile you can basically throw that out and dash behind it in alot of situations.
Because of his good AAs also walking back and forth slowly isn't nearly as shitty. Especially when a character like Chun Li/Ryu is forced to engage you at close range because they can't zone you because of his v-skill.
Also hes feels like night and day once hes on top of the other person. His pressure is quite fluid and his normals are super good. Cr mp/St hk/St mp are so fucking good same with max range st hp. His st mk is also slightly longer.
It will be alittle slow getting in on good people who will sniff out a desperate dash if its not a good read yes. But those people will just be forced to come to Bison most of the time because of v-skill. Also his walk is fucking intimidating on its own. My greatest fear is Capcom will go anti fun and nerf alot of his tools especially his St hk and make it either slow as sin or unsafe on block so it will just be a bad AA/combo tool

Anon i'm 100% on this as a Bison main. You will enjoy the new St HK. Instead of some poke that can be focused its now a crazy good pressure tool that can be used as a better AA then his old one.
Its 8 frames plus 5 on hit and plus 3 on block. For a heavy normal that is fucking godlike. Its also comboable normally and its his crush counter normal or one of the two.

option select is a large motion that does different things depending on how your opponent wakes up from a hard knockdown (popular in SF4 series).
Resets are intentionally dropping your combo for a mixup in order to reset the damage scaling

Yeah the latest build we experienced really had an enjoyable feel for some of the characters, Vega for me was an absolute combo monster who could exploit any mistake into a well damaging punish, not to mention the loss of the claw doesnt gimp him like previous titles and in fact gives him that sweet command grab which is useful for adding to his mixup situation such as and even extending his combo opportunity. I just wish he had a better anti air but we'll see if anything gets changed.

I don't feel like Vega would be fair with a good AA imo. Although they need to definitely fix a few of his normals that are missing hitboxes on the end of his claw for whatever reason. A few normals with the flaw literally are missing the second half of the claw itself.
I think Vega should have to be creative with AAs though. Hes going to easily out poke most of the cast if not all of them by different degrees in the final build. He has plenty of AA options from air to air/air command throw/cr hp etc. Giving him one specific AA to use constantly like a shoto would be too scary.
