A lot of /v/ would be better if /vr/ was merge back with /v/, although I like /vr/ so that would kind of kill my fun. Mods also need to set their priorities straight, what was one of the reasons that killed /v/ culture was mods not setting their priorities straight and deleting at random with no rhyme or reason. They focus too much on off topic threads such as gamer fuel threads but on topic shitposting usually gets a pass as well as numerous twitter threads. Off topic isn't inherently a bad thing because it creates board identity and was why /v/ was so great back in the day because of how not policed it was. Everything else is in the community itself's hands.
Also when is /vr/ going to be allowed discussion on 6th gen? It's been more than 10 years since these consoles were released.

The main problem on /v/ is that nobody knows what the fuck it's even supposed to be anymore, and that makes it incredibly hard to moderate. IMO the mods should be more proactive in removing threads devoted entirely to shitposting and should start throwing around short-term bans for chronic shitposters more often. Posting a copypasta intended solely to rile up console wars should be an instant 1-3 day ban.
I'm not saying we should have the mods go full /a/ (fuck those guys seriously) but tighter enforcement of "no shitposting" and IDs to negate samefagging would do wonders.
Also e-celeb bullshit should be sent to /vg/ unless the people and events actually have a tangible connection to games. I.e. a thread about Kojima joining another development house would be acceptable, a thread about PewDiePie getting glaucoma would not.
