It tried some things, but I don't feel they all paid off. It was still better than the ride armor system in X3 though. That could have been handled much smarter.

That's retarded, Mega Man and X series have very different gameplay approaches and mechanics. That's not even counting the other Mega Man spin-offs that deviate from their originator even further.
