The trick with this one is misdirection. They paid 27z effectively (25 plus the 2 the bellboy kept) and they got 1 each back (27+3=30)

The games are also much more playable on an emulator, at least in virtual boy since you have a speed toggle button, makes it way more bearable, plus you have save states for some of the ridiculous puzzles like with electman

I remember I had a Code Breaker for my GBA that let me get in some pretty cool chips. After BN3 came out and completed that, I used it so that I could use the Navi Customization early, as well as max out Mega and switch out styles easily. Star Force 3 was absolutely great, on par with the best BN games
1 was rough around the edges but had some nice character development, so it's okay in my book.
I still find it bullshit that Geo got to go back home through the power of friendship, even thought that was pretty much the main theme of the game.

Yeah, the WoodMan scenario can actually freeze the game if played on a DS or emulator.
For some reason it only works fine on a regular GBA.

It's not really a freeze, so much as the game slows to one frame per second.

But you need to include an armor/custom block that lets you temporally move into enemy spaces so melee is much more viable

Just make it so the buster is weaker while there and you take damage after 5-7 seconds or so after being on their squares

Also going from there, if you've ever played the game Dragon Ball Z Legendary Super Warriors, it's a similar game

At the start of that game however you get to choose between a "Beam" or "Defeat" Deck, being melee and ranged

Before the game or during the game you should ask the player what kind of "Deck" they want, weather it be power up focused, ranged, melee, support card focused or what have you

IE
1 Bushido: normal sword
2 Bushidos: Long Sword + 20 atk for both

If you wanted a few more things, you should include a custom block/power up that lets you choose what you get when you win a non boss battle, so someone doesn't have to spend hours grinding certain monsters to try and get a card, you'd still have to qualify for a card though with getting a good rank however.

You could also possibly have the option to move the camera to a 3rd person perspective if that's not already there, this could also be a unique mechanic for certain fights where you force the camera to that position.

Probably a decent ammount of work, but they are 3-D models, unless like half of it isn't textured really, wouldn't be as hard if you were still on sprites though, just be sure to have the game finished before releasing it just in case capcom sends out a C&D

I thought about it and decided I'd make a new "puzzle" for the custom stuff because I just can't be assed to spend so much time on the custom block system.

It's separate because neither are actually in yet. I'm doing a staggered release schedule where I just add features as I go along. So first release is BN1 esque but with some other playable characters. Release 2 is bug patches + Bass post-game. Release 3 is styles and from there on out anything is fair game since I've basically reached the goals I wanted. Each release adds more chips.

Like, a Style Change for MegaMan? I just thought of ideas for the visual changes to make. Like for the backpack make it so the top nubs look like they have hilts at the bottom and the bottom nubs are pointed. And slight "armor" at the elbows and knees, or maybe just make both of MegaMan's shoulder pads more like armor. Or both.

Well you need a way to supplement a deck, the melee armor especially helps making melee viable.

Like how else would you achieve such a thing? aside from a temporary use chip.

It also functions like armors/souls for giving you an extra power, it just helps differentiate the starting decks.
