I'm just saying the game is around 2 my of favorite franchises and has none of the appeal of either and is closer to compile heart mixed with P4DAN than it is either franchise.
The gameplay itself doesn't even look as deep as P4, which itself is a watered down SMT. And the "FE" elements are just titles and thematic things, not actually affecting gameplay much like they do in the Tactical Role Playin Situation.
I was hyped for this game from the original SMTxFE trailer, and I'm still trying to see if there is still value in it rather than being a grumpy crossover demanding faggot, but I just don't see it. .
Especially with how heavy the emphasis is on Idol culture which is niche as fuck in Japan as it is, I can't find any appeal, despite the 2 franchises I love being supposedly together for this.

Yeah, but they can go up to huge numbers. Also, you can't select what move they do. You're locked into using spells if you start one with a spell so you need to plan how you do your session attacks carefully. If you do them well, you get to some fucking cuh-razy combo numbers. Enemies probably have a high HP to accommodate for this. Also, characters not in the party can join in for them.

Mirages have personalities and their own character models and stories.
Personae are just the recycled/rejected SMT assets that get stuck with some harem-anime protag and thrown in the blender when a "higher-order" persona becomes available.

The game is made by the people who made one of my favorite games (SJ), the base material for it are two of my favorite franchises, and the game itself doesn't even show that much potential (at least so far) as its own IP.
If you removed all the SMTxFE hype and assets the game got, it would just be another generic anime JRPG about idols that people would only have modest interest in because part of the SJ team is on it.
