Bayonetta 2 and 1 are both amazing games but for different reasons. They both have strengths and weaknesses.
Personally I like 2 more because it removed a shit load of the retarded stuff 1 had.

I forgot what it was, might have been the infamously fucking awful Highway 666, but there's literally a QTE in the game that's a truck hitting you on a road that you have 0.5 seconds to react to.
It's like, wow, who the fuck came up with that shit?
This is why Wonderful 101 has the best QTEs. It's fun drawing, you have like 10 seconds at the least to activate them, and they keep you engaged in the cutscenes without making you frustrated. Their great bridges between settings and make you feel good.
