Calm down, autismo. The game is alright. It's not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but once you get used to the way it plays, the map layouts, and unlock all the gear, I'm actually having a lot of fun. I don't even mind playing as the rebels anymore, already won a few games in fact.
If I had one criticism, it would be the network issues. 1 in every 5 games will just abruptly end for no discernable reason. It's also occasionally laggy. Haven't noticed many framedrops though, and overall it feels smooth and consistent. I probably won't end up buying it however, not with Halo 5 right around the corner. Maybe a few months down the line when I can get it 50% off.

I'm actually disappointed with DICE's reboot. Collecting "power ups" on the field to be able to fly? What starwars universe has "power ups"! There are no vehicles to get into at all. The gameplay is pretty basic and kind of boring tbh.

I played this game for a good 3 hours.
The irony to me is that many months ago I said "I hope they don't JUST make it Battlefield with a Star Wars skin" and now after having played it I actually WISH they had done just that.

Nah it should be called infantry front or star wars infantry battles. Any semblance of a front is gone. To me it feels like the battles are just small skirmishes that would have happened on the sidelines of the real battle. Like there was the main Hoth offense, and then a few miles east there was another smaller rebel base and a small motorized division of stormtroopers was sent to try and destroy it.

I played the shit out of 2. I don't like this one anywhere near as much, but I still think it's alright. I think they made the mistake of having the two playable game modes be incredibly boring, and the maps aren't spectacular, but it's well presented, and that gives it a nice edge. It's not total shit, it's not outstanding, it's just alright. I do expect the final release to offer more, especially for how basic it is. I doubt I'll get it anyway, though.

Am I the only one honestly thinking this game would be better if it had actual classes like the original Battlefronts? Not even trying to be a nostalgiafag or DICE hater but seriously instead of having everybody buy a card(what?) to use a sniper rifle that they'll either get a one shot kill or absolutely nothing with, then waiting 10 seconds to use it again, just make a sniper class with a weaker rifle. Then make a heavy class with a rocket launcher instead of running over to that floating blue icon and hoping I get a rocket launcher in my RNG power-up.
And it's like the old games where your individual play determines whether you get to use the better classes and shit. They should stop trying to be different and make it more like "modern" shooters cuz it's just not as fun as it should be because they feel they need to pander to the Battlefield audience. But the essence of the game won't change post release ; an extremely casualized shooter which only point of strenght is the star wars license. Also good visuals and sounds.
Go beyond that and what you have is a 6/10 max. Not worth full price but could be worth 25$ or whatever .

Ammo Packs are necessary to change the pacing of the game. In Battlefront all you do is charge at the enemy and go to the objective point.

Why couldn't this have been a legitimate Battlefront game, staying true to the oldies, but using next gen technology? Why are video games no longer about having fun? I'm currently in a social limbo right now, with my old friends out of the picture and trying to get my shit together and find new ones. I spend a lot of time at home now. I work overnights to pay for college so I sleep during the day mostly, and stay up all night. My PS4 is the only thing keeping me occupied, and I just want to have fun.
Just a fun game that isn't about DLC and nickels and dimes.
