There are only a few games these days that can keep me hooked for more than a couple of hours. I pirate them to see if they're worth my money or if they will hook me up enough to justify their price.

I don't pirate because the artists and creative minds in the industry who actually turn out good work deserve to be paid for that work, as any artist worth his salt in any industry deserves to be. I don't even buy the idea of "respectable piracy", IE pirating only bad companies or games, since the best message to send to companies that make shitty games or have shitty practices is to avoid their products entirely no matter what.
