Out of those listed, the 360 controller would be my recommendation. I like the slight depression on the d-pad for drawing your thumb right to the center, and the buttons/shoulders are pretty good. I don't normally use the thumbsticks, though, so no comment on those.
PS Dualshock sucks ass. Not sure if the PS4 Dualshock is any better, although I highly doubt it.
Haven't used the Xbone controller, although looking at the d-pad I can't say that I'm interested.

I only held the xbone controller once, and I really liked it. Almost picked one up for my pc.
What's the general consensus on the xbone controller?
DS4 + DS4Windows or other similar input deal is my favorite PC controller of choice. I've never been a fan of the 360 controller but I understand why people like it. The Xbone controller is just a worse version of the 360 controller except for the d-pad.

I think it's generally considered an improved 360 controller, The wired and wireless model are the same so you can just unplug the cable to make it wireless which is nice. Also the dpad isn't shit anymore.

I got a DS4 and kind of regret it. The material on the sticks is so fucking slippery, especially after playing for extended periods. I don't even have sweaty hands but those fucking sticks just slip like garbage.
I had to buy some third party grippy thumbstick attachments, and now it's kind of okay they're cheap and I doubt they'll last.
OP, I'd honestly just play it safe and get an Xbone controller. You don't have to use a bullshit workaround like DS4 tool, and you can get used to the different bumpers.

DS3 is good. The 360 pad has official drivers and support from many games.
I can't say about the Xbone controller or DS4, but I can't imagine either of them being any better.

The touchpad is kinda gimmicky but it does have its uses if you're really set on using it. I would also say it might be worth it to get a bluetooth dongle to play wirelessly. The battery is kinda bad on the DS4 but you can mitigate that a bit by turning off the LED, touch pad, and rumble. Can easily boost the battery life up to like 15-20 hours or so.

Oh I totally think of the touchpad as a gimmick, I just know it can control the mouse which may occasionally be beneficial. I have no idea why it's even there for the ps4.

This gens controllers are crap. 360 and DS3 were based.
Now Sony has a useless lightbar which you can't even see, a touchpad next to no games use and a button dedicated to screencaps and recording in the place where the select button should be.

Xbone is great.
People complain about the bumpers while not knowing how they work. You're supposed to roll your fingers onto them rather than pressing them in the same way as the 360's.
Xbox one controller is wonderful and a huge step forward compared to the 360 one.

360 is a pretty all round controller.
I've been using Dualshock 3 because I gave my 360 one to my brother and to me it's just as good, lots of people don't like it thought because they have long thumbs, hold it all the way in their palm or some other shit.
