Tekken and VF are mechanically very different games, it's dumb that people can't like one without hating the other around here. Tekken actually plays closer to 2D fighters whereas VF is it's own sorta thing entirely. DoA being a slower, simpler VF clone with a rock/paper/scissors counter mechanic slapped on top - but since VF is dead it's basically the next best thing to it at the moment and it isn't an outright awful game or anything.
