I backed Wasteland 2, Eternity and Numenera on kickstarter despite generally disliking crowd-funding. The Eternity beta was pretty fun if you're looking for another Baldur's Gate or Icewind Dale or ToEE, this is pretty much perfect. It's got some nice updates that some of those older games didn't have either. I don't think you need to be a nostalgiafag to like this game, but you probably need to be a D&Dfag to like it.

Holy shit really? Last time I played the beta race and culture could be selected separately, they seriously took that out? Way to go Obsidian.
So what class is everyone planning to make their MC?
I'm still undecided between Monk, Cipher, or Rogue. The fact that rogues can do backstab and other special attacks with any weapon makes me pretty interesting in making some sabre and pistol style swashbuckler that guns down foes.

No you can do it with guns, you just need to be in a close range. Blunderbuss backstabs are totally a thing though, and they're glorious.
