Seltas chest and blademaster helm, gravios everything else with a two-slot guard charm; gives me Artillery God, Guard +2 and Defense Up S. You get Hunter Ranks each time you complete a quest level in the Gathering Hall, which is completing a few key quests and then an Urgent.
As for playing online try to balance between the two, since quests in Caravan are tied to HR. So keep going until you hit High Rank in Caravan, then go do Low Rank online.
Of course, if friends want you to play online before then, go ahead. But don't go randoming.If fact don't go randoming at all.

If you're doing heavy gathering drop the big healing items and run with just a few.
Normal hunts should be around 1 1/2 ~ 2 pages worth
Big hunts you can go all in.
But do keep a few slots open if a gunner is in your party, having someone else drag along another stack of pierce/elemental shots can make a huge difference.

It's a random variation on the tank tag team attack that'll show up in HR onwards.
I've also seen Rath-Of-Thunder, Rath-Of-Dragon, and I think other variations.

Absolutely. Its possible fo have sharpness+1 and good armor all the way up to grank from lr gore with decent armor the whole time. Hr makes it easy to get AuXL as well. Some people are just autistic about things not matching

I have fallen in love with steves hbg. Just made my first hr gunner set, gravios gemmed for evade up and recoil2, and it just works so well. Rolling around shooting pierce3 at everything with no recoil is amazing. This thing is perfect for limiter removal
If you cart once or if you get unlucky with the monster constantly switching zones in expeditions you might as well give up, because you only get 10 mins before it flees

My number 1 vote goes to the Los families fly high into the air poison claw snipe from 50 meters away. There is no way to dodge that with a weapon out unless you can guard.

The Seregios Bow is actually pretty decent in terms of damage potential because of it's high raw, but the lack of coatings tend to choke out its use a little bit. Using it with paralyze coating is nice, or sleep if you have a good hunting party, can be a great boon to your overall damage potential.
That being said, Zinogre U has a nice built in buff with unscathed and evade is always nice. I would start there and push towards Para C+ with gems, or even push in further for expert.
Does anyone have a G-Rank Basarios quest they can give?

Instant charges and tail swipes.
Both are really easy to avoid and not really that threatening at all but god fucking damn if the monsters don't always use them when I'm in the middle of an attack animation.
Also instant charges are annoying just because the battle turns into hey run after the monster while it charges back and forth 50 times
