If evolve could stop throwing me into evacuation games where I'm forced to play a quarter health kraken when the hunters have won 3/5 games already I'd really enjoy that, thanks
seriously why can't it be the same system as the hunt matchmaking, that always works well
>>284706893
>he bought Evolve
>he bought any game this close to its release date
>>284706893
>supporting a dev with practices this shitty ever
no excuses
>>284706893
Stop being such a toxic player, anon. Would you prefer if people leaving a team would leave that spot empty for the rest of the game? Then they'd really have no chance to win.
>>284707435
>played it in the week long beta
it was fun so I bought it
>>284708713
What practices? Day 1 recolour dlc? Portal 2 and other older games has it buts it's only terrible in this game
Overpriced DLC? If you're a poorfag don't buy it
Game is too expensive for what it is? If you don't have money to spend on indulgencies then why is gaming your hobby
>>284708872
No I'd prefer if you couldn't join a game as monster where the monster has lost health previously, or that you couldn't join after the first mission of evacuation
>>284710591
>other people do it, so that makes it okay!
yeah the backlash against this game is silly.
it's not the most compelling game out there but it's not trying to trick you. you knew the game was going to be repetitive and restricted months before launch.
>>284710591
Portal 2 did not have day 1 recolours, they were added at a later date
>>284710841
>yeah the backlash against this game is silly.
So releasing a game at full price with half the content is silly?
Why don't they just release the base game cheaper then pay the full price for the edition with all the DLC announced
>>284711392
Pretty sure it had day 1 hats etc in the coop.
But who cares?
It's all just skins.
Still a fucking full price release but it's still just skins.
>>284710591
>Recolors
>Comparing it to Day 1 DLC
>DLC up the butt that the Season Pass won't cover
Fuck I even liked the game too
>>284712118
Yeah that's literally the same with evolve
just skins
Britfag here, PC monster race edition is 60 pounds and it has the game and ALL future dlc, all the of the new monsters and the all of the new hunters
literally the same price as a full price american console game without any dlc
>>284711836>>284711836
You could literally try the beta for free for an entire week, people knew what they were buying, it was even said this was going to be the content available at launch
>>284710752
I don't see whats so bad about day 1 skin DLCs
I'm not saying it's okay, people are up in arms about evolve's skin dlc but they don't care about any other games doing it
So I take it Evolve finally dropped off the radar?
Wasn't this suppose to be the next big e-sport thing?
>>284716404
ofc the game is dead, nobody bought it after the whole
"THE GAME COSTS 100 DOLLARS AND 130 DOLLARS FOR ALL THE DLC IN TOTAL (WHICH IS ALL HUNTERS AND MONSTERS) AND THERES ONLY ONE GAMEMODE 0/10 ITS AWFUL"
>>284717129
You would know you're objectively wrong if you weren't a meme-reporting sheep. I bet you hate Obama objectively aswell.
The million dollar question
Is Evolve, the base game at 60 dollar mark, a good game?
>>284717947
It's ok but it gets repetitive.
For the base game, the price isn't worth it.
>>284717947
it gets boring quickly, but it's fun for a few hours. I bought it and returned it for full money back (never intended to keep past that, just wanted to try it out)
>>284717947
>Is Evolve, the base game at 60 dollar mark, a good game?
Yes
Better than most games that have been released over the past 6 months (even longer if we're only talking FPS).
>>284717947
no
the game is unfun as fuck sometimes
>if the monster sucks and dies in the first 5 minutes it's boring
>if the monster is good and evades you until lvl 3 it's boring
>if the hunters suck and die really early it's boring
>if the hunters are really good at tracking and catching you early it's boring
Sometimes you get a nice balanced match that isn't a complete stomp one way or the other but that's not the norm. Also being a hunter is unforgiving as fuck since you need to be coordinated and 1 terrible fucker can easily cost you the game.
>>284718535
that isn't exactly hard. 2014 was a terrible year for games
>>284710591
>played the week long beta
>it was fun
>"don't worry guys! They will fix the matchmaking problems, I SWEAR!!!
You have yourself to blame anon.
>>284718614
So it's basically L4D?
>>284710591
Are you sure you aren't confusing about pre-order incentives versus pay-for-separately dlc?
>>284719053
yeah
>>284719131
So it's fine if you play with people that know what to do
>>284719462
Yes, like every other cooperative game. You will steam roll anything if you have a team that communicates well.
>>284719638
But I steam rolled L4D regardless.
felt awesome just doing expert and running ahead reaching the safe house by myself while the rest of my team keeps yelling, "Helpus help us why you go so fast" and then when the 3 of them are down get kicked. The feeling of knowing they would lose that round due to being kicked was the best feeling.
Or soloing a tank at that which frequently happens when you rush .
Can one person kill the monster if they get there fast enough?
>>284719905
>can one person kill the monster
I have not seen it yet. Either playing or watching streams.
will buy this game when it's 5.99 by this time next year just like titanfall right now
oh wait no i wont because the dlc will still be some $50
>>284719905
>Can one person kill the monster if they get there fast enough?
It's not like it's mechanically impossible, but it pretty much would only happen if the monster was complete shit and retarded, regardless of how good you are. It's not just that there would have to be a major disparity in skill, it's that the monster would have to just plain be bad because as long as they have a basic floor level of skill/experience a single hunter isn't going to beat them, the monster is designed to face up to 4-on-1 after all. Even weak early on, it's still going to be by far the stronger side in 1v1.
It might happen once in a while if you played enough and came up against a total newbie or someone shit, but it won't be like L4D.
>>284720214
There will probably be a "Ultimate Director's Cut" version or some shit with all the DLC included for $7.99, the main thing is that game will probably be utterly dead long before that. If it's cheap enough and you had some bros who all decided to get it at the same time it might still be worth a spin I guess.
>>284717947
A game isn't objectively good, it's opinion based
But for 60 dollars it's overpriced
>>284721202
>A game can't be objectively good
>>284720489
this is the only reason I'm in this thread.
>>284721323
Yeah nice "quote" you got there
"ISN'T" not "CAN'T" you fucking retard
>>284721490
A game is not objectively good is a dumb fucking statement. What game? why is it not objectively good. You said a game so I'm assuming your referring to all games which in the end is synonymous with games cannot be objectively good
