Do you spend much money on video games every year /v/?
>>284465008
> Not pirating games
>>284465008
I try not to by being a Jew, but I end up spending more than I expect on little things that I would've thought, fucking video games.
>>284465008
>spending money on vidya
>>284465008
usually <$100
I'm legitimately glad the industry is in such a sorry fucking state because that means there's way less good games for me to spend money on.
yes but im rich so whatever
Spent around 750 this year so far (2015)
I'd say I spend on average 3000 a year
I need help
>>284465383
Kinda this. While there are few games I'm slightly interested in, the only games I'm really excited about right now are Witcher 3 and Ultima Ascendant.
>>284465008
I spend most of my money on food and drugs. I have enough games for now and the only thing I was planning to buy was GTAV but a friend pre-ordered it for me on steam
I spend like 60$ every 2 months. There's not that many games I want coming out
>>284465008
I guess between 1000 and 2000€ each year.
>>284465008
No, because I pirate everything. Although I do buy games that I want to play online multiplayer.
>>284465008
Dunno, about 150 € a year, but then last year I've spent about 350 € on books.
~40$ once every 2-4 months on a console game I really want
~5-10$ a couple of times on Steam sales, bundles and other such shenanigans.
Dunno, but I am trying to keep tabs of my personal expenses this year.
Need to get a better job, minimum wage a shit.
>>284467064
Why don't you use Excel?
>>284467064
Good idea anon. Going to start to budget my spendings myself, looks as though MGS, Bloodborne, Killing Floor 2 and majoras mask will set me back a bit though.
>>284467605
Why should I?
Poorfag with only enough to buy one new game right now. Holding onto it for MGSV, but I might end up getting a job before that fucking game comes out.
That's a good idea. I'm going to do that with on my $500 note 10.1 2014 edition. Money well spent.
>>284467818
because you can easily expand and calculate that list you fucking hipster.
I might spend a thousand this year and get both a ps4 and wii u.
>>284467818
also easier to manage
>>284467965
I can do the same thing in notepad with the enter key and a calculator.
git fukd
I am pirating the fuck out of everything and let you chumps support the industry. Thank you suckers
>>284465008
I don't know, $1000?
Got a stable, middle income job and live alone. Really don't need to keep tabs on small purchases.
Get a gamefly account and pirate shit. Spending money on video games is so last decade.
I used to pirate games but ever since I've downgraded my laptop I've been connecting more with my console.
I'd say I spend ~$50 a month
>>284468227
>i dun no how to excel
>>284465386
i hope you're also playing on other platforms
>>284468227
>why should i write with a pen when i can just stab myself in the finger and bleed on the paper each time?
>>284465008
Nah, I pirate all the games I want to play and buy the ones that are actually good. So that's like maybe 4 games a year that I buy.
Games I can't pirate I usually do extensive research about and try out friends copy if I'm lucky, before buying.
3 out of 4 games I bought last year were___nintendo___games.
Psn does a sale every week, I buy almost exclusively from there, i buy full release games around winter break.
I live in a third world country so games can cost up to 90-95$, the way I get around this is making a U.S. psn account and buy psn cards from Amazon using a U.S. address, they send the code through an email and then I can just paste it on the redeem code bar.
There is no better option.

Problem?

>Implying i spend an actual currency on this generation of trash-teir videogames.
>>284469051
Yes, it's basically a worse version of a god-tier N64 game.
I'm glad you wasted $42 on it. I'm sad that you won't learn from your mistake.

>>284469342
I never paid more than 10 bucks for a computer game in my life.
>>284469408
Instead of voting I'll tell you straight up: wait on the Wii U, but definitely consider the Vita for the meanwhile. All current-gen consoles are lacking games and the Wii U is no exception, so you want to wait until it has a decent library before getting one.Might want to upgrade your pc instead of getting a handheld if it's old enough.
>>284469518
I have never purchased a computer/ps2/ps1/mobile game in my life
I did spent 1642,98€ last year on the vidya
>>284465386
What is your secret anon ?
I spent, at max, about $500 a year on gaming things.
Console, Accessories, Games, DLC, shit like that.
The amount of games I pirate, is about 3x my actual spending.
I am actually to lazy to pirate.. so I just buy the games...
