For 3D games? Sure. For 2D games? No, they all make the games look like utter shit.
I remember when I first found out about this feature on emulators, I actually found it fun to play in those weird alternate styles. But after a while, it was too much for me, nice though to change into it everyonce ina while just to see how things look.

I might mess around with some color filters for gameboy color/early GBA games, though. They were made for a shitty dull screen with no backlight, and can look really saturated on better screens.
People who obsess over filter/shader/overlays are absolutely autistic and would do the world good to end themselves.
Games back then were made with scanlines in mind and the underageb& flood we have of people who's first console was the xbox on here is sickening.
