Does Arsène have the most interesting design of the starting Persona?
sure
I want there to be some way to keep him useful throughout the game. The starter Personas are often really cool but you never get to actually use them (at least until you get to fuse a super-version in NG+).

Every Persona game does. 4 had Izanagi-no-Okami, which is actually pretty shit because you can't level it up much. 3 had two; Orpheus Telos and Messiah. 2 had prime personas, and 1 just had ultimates for everybody.
P4 had the best starter persona.
P3 had the best protagonist. (The male one)

Yeah, but you can't fuse it until NG+, which means most players never get to use it.
Persona 3 was a little better about it. Messiah is entirely available in a normal playthrough by fusing Orpheus and Thanatos together (and looks like a combination of Orpheus and Thanatos, which is kind of cool).
I hope there's some way to keep Arsene relevant throughout P5, because he looks awesome and I want to keep using him.

I really wonder if this game will keep the fusion system from IV and Devil Survivor. Because being able to pick the skills that get passed is a massive time-saver.
