Have you ever heard of Persona 4? it's a JRPG where you play as a Japanese teenage guy in high school. There is a killer in town that kills a friend of the main character's friend, the main character and his friends decide to investigate and finds themselves being able to travel to a different dimension that might have something to do with the killings occurring in town. Throughout the game you get to know many different characters and the plot keeps thickening as you play through this very long and entertaining game. Eventually you beat the game and the story is concluded, you get to see the characters you have come to love for the last time, it has been a long a journey, but this story have been told and the characters have developed. The ending might not be the happiest, but it leaves on a good note. The company that made this game moves on to make new games and stories and the game is considered a PS2 classic from then on.

I really liked how P3 tried to implement the Tired system. While as a gameplay mechanic it was nothing but bothering, I liked the idea that the students could get tired of killing shadows, and how some days they were feeling better than others. I wish they tried to expand or make the mechanic better instead of straight up getting rid of it, but I guess it would be difficult to not be bothering.
I liked how P4 tried to have the narration with the main character as much as possible. I remember in P3 it changed a lot to things unrelated to the main character, such as Junpei and Chidori's relationship, and I liked how P4 avoided things like this as it feels much more smooth by just focusing on the main character.

Not really. I just felt like the narrative in 3 didn't feel as smooth as in 4 because it cut too much to other characters. I remember thinking something among the lines of "Yeah, but what does this have to do with anything" a few times, and I just felt like they did that much less in 4. I might be wrong, since it's been a while since I've played 3, but I preferred the plot progression of 4.

I mean, it might be the fact that you're supposed to be the main character anyway, but that's not what I'm trying to say either. Take the bath scene for example. It made sense to change between the boys and girls side, even if the main character wasn't in the girls scene, and I didn't mind that. But I remember in P3 a few times they'd just show other characters seemingly out of nowhere, and it didn't feel that great. It might just be me, or my memory might be failing me too, but that's what I think.

That's another thing I preferred from P3. In P3, you have a specific date where shit will go down, so as the day approaches, not only you have something to kinda look foward to, it's a fixed date, so the plot can work around it. In 4, you can save them whenever you want (Which I also think it's cool), but if you save them really early, the game just goes "Well, uh, they're not feeling well, so just chill until it rains okay?" and I didn't really like that. Again, just my opinion.
