no its when a defective lens cannot focus all the colors on the focal point of the subject. it's something that lens manufacturers and image processing techniques in general go leaps and bound out of their way to avoid because it looks like shit.
imagine an image broken into cmyk color channels and you can't quite align them to combine the colors to form the true image, you get an effect similar to watching a 3d movie without glasses.

There's no menu option for it. The day time is a lot easier than night time, and you get the option to not fuck around in the night most of the time, but you're well rewarded by playing at night if you choose to.

There is a manager to remove CA in Dying Light, and they added the removal of film grain in the options recently.
I really like the interior living quarters in Dying Light. Like some level designer had fun making these spaces for a family.
