I haven't payed all that much attention to bloodborne besides some troll threads where a fake shilling, I haven't had that much time for games since I beat Dying light.
How does the addition of guns change the combat? DeS and DaS1/2 didn't have a lot use for range besides magic or at last I didn't, magic and ranged felt useless in solo and multiplayer.

as much as we want this game to match up with Demons souls-level values (like difficulty, punishing the player, being fun) From is still a business and they're trying to reach a more broad demographic of players.

This game is by definition a rehash. It's major selling point which is repeated over and over in this thread and every other is that it's made by the team who did DeS, the spiritual successor to DaS, etc.
This isn't knocking the game, again I think it looks pretty good and, dare I say, fun. But the amount of hype building up behind it is outrageous. It's almost like some want to be disappointed.

I literally just want to play Dark Souls but with the feeling of not knowing the game off by heart. Even if it played exactly the same I wouldn't mind as long as the content is different. However I think this game is actually pretty different from the other two, DaS was much more of a rehash than this is. They even managed to make DaS2 an empty shell of it's predecessor. Demon's Souls and Dark Souls are amazing, but the devs behind the franchise are selling out harder with each new release.
