He does prefer the air, most of his stronger moves require you to full hop to get no landing lag.
The problem with that is that he has no way to get other people up there with him without a grab, not only that air dodging is way too safe.

I appreciated that Falco was made more distinct with his A moves in Brawl, though his B moves were left untouched. But Wolf was just more fun to play, I enjoyed his stats and speeds and style a lot more. And then Sakurai cut him out of 4 and turned his B moves into custom moves, fuck you, Sakurai. That last part is even more damning because it confirms Wolf and Lucas won't be DLC unless their B moves are completely new or heavily revamped, neither of which is happening because Sakurai isn't making any more DLC after Mewtwo.
